In a team or at the helm, Darrell makes it a point to treat everyone like family. From supporting his employees and advising customers to being a husband and dad of three, his focus is on ensuring each one of these interactions is handled with care and respect.

True Bohrman

Journeyman Electrician

True grew up in Prescott, Arizona, a cowboy south-western type town with great hiking and outdoor recreation.

True was always fascinated with electricity growing up, and did not find a subject in school that he wanted to study in college. True has an affinity for working with his hands and found his place in electrical after exploring both carpentry and plumbing after high school. “As an electrician it doesn’t get better than flipping the breaker and seeing the lights come on again.” If he wasn’t so darn good at his job, True’s other calling would be professional kite surfer.

True has traveled throughout the entire continental United States, with the exception of Alaska. His main hobby is making music, and playing the drums.

True lives in Ballard with his dog, Bourbon that he raised since he was a little puppy. His favorite movie is The Godfather Part Two.

Chris Keane

Journeyman Electrician

When asked why he chose the electrical trade, Chris responded that “Electricity is the energy that drives all of the modern world with nigh on endless applications”. Chris says that having a job that helps people feel secure in the proper utilization of that gives him a feeling of fulfillment. He also feels a sense of self satisfaction with the problem solving and critical thinking that comes with delivering that.

If he wasn’t so good at his job, Chris would be a chef or physical therapist.

When not testing circuits with his multimeter, you can find Chris skiing, playing disc golf, or cooking.

Chris, a Seattle-area native lives with his partner. His favorite movie is Tombstone.

Ben Shapero

Journeyman Electrician

Ben grew up in Dana Point, a hilly beach town in southern California. He chose the electrical trade because he finds it engaging both physically and mentally. The most rewarding part of his job is going home every day knowing he’s made his city a safer place to live.

Ben’s favorite tool is his insulated flathead screwdriver. If he wasn’t so darn good at his job, he would be a Calvin Klein model.

In his spare time Ben likes making candles, climbing rocks, and hammocking when the weather permits.

Ben periodically tutors K-12 math and science for the King County Public Library’s Study Zone program.

His favorite movies are a tie between “O Breaker, Where Art Thou?” and “Raiders of the Lost Spark.”

Adam Kahn

Journeyman Electrician

Adam grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana. He chose the electrical trade because he always liked physics and understanding how things work. Seth finds the instant gratification of turning on the lights for the first time to be the most rewarding aspect of his job. He enjoys troubleshooting and finds the process of solving problems very satisfying. The variety inherent in electrical service work keeps each day interesting and makes the time go by quickly.

Seth owns hundreds of tools and is particularly fond of his multi-bit screwdrivers and socket sets. In his free time, he enjoys building computers, basic carpentry, welding, and modifying Minecraft modpacks. He also has a collection of cars and motorcycles that he works on.

Seth lives with his partner, Bailey, and their two cats, Salt and Boba.

Ross Chubarov

Electrical Trainee

Ross moved to the United States from Eastern Europe, first settling in Portland, OR and eventually landing in Tacoma. Ross was undecided about going to college and wanted more time before making that decision. Some friends in the electrical trade encouraged him to go to trade school, and he had mentors who supported his endeavor. Ross found that the electrical trade is so vast that he will always have something to learn.

Ross’s favorite tool is his lineman’s pliers. “They’re cutters, a hammer, and provide great traction when you need to pull on a wet fishtape through conduit.”

When not using his pliers, Ross enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and building desktop computers.

Ross lives on Capital Hill with his partner and black cat Misa. His favorite movie is Zoolander and has been told that he does a “Blue Steel” when photographed.
